My thoughts & prayers are with all my cousins & their families. We will all miss him greatly! He was an angel on earth & now he's home with his sweet Rose.
I will always remember his smile & his laughter. Even if he got mad there was always that twinkle in his eye. God blessed us with a good man!

Dear Pam and family, I want to say what a wonderful man your father was. It was a pleasure to know him and your mother Rose also. We met at WHCC, my mother was Rose's roommate for two years. In that time my sister and I both got to know and bond with your family. George looked out for all the residents and I'm very grateful that he always made sure my mother was safe and comfortable. I admire how he was there everyday twice a day to be with his bride! He was an amazing man, kind and gentle. But determined to get the best care for his beloved wife Rose. I will always remember him and Rose. I do hope your wonderful memories will bring you comfort. I know that you have two beautiful angels watching over you now. Love, Maureen

Mr. Haas,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

To my friend, Pam Hickey, and her extended family: I was fortunate to have known George Haas. Our paths first crossed while my Dad and Rose Haas were residents of WHCC. George was a shining light at the facility. Not only did he watch after his beloved Rose and her care, but he was an advocate for all the residents.

His kind and caring nature brightened the day of anyone with whom he came in contact. A warm hand on someone's shoulder, wheeling residents to their destinations, making sure that everyone in the dining room was served their appropriate dinners, alerting staff and management to something that was of concern to him, creating a garden in which the residents could participate, devoting his time to lead the Family Council on behalf of the residents--all of this and much more was done in a totally selfless manner.

George had a beautiful smile and a twinkle in his eye. He brightened a room when he walked in, and the residents of WHCC were the beneficiaries of his positive altruistic attitude.

With the responsibilities he shouldered at the facility, in addition to fulfilling his role as a loving husband, father and grandfather, George somehow was able to find the time to reach out beyond WHCC and actively participate in MANHR and S.O.S., once again advocating for those who needed life-affirming assistance and offering the elderly and infirm the means to enrich the quality of their lives.

George Haas accomplished much in his lifetime. Hopefully he knew how much he was appreciated and respected. The world is a better place for George's being here, and I am a better person for having known and learned from George.

With my love to Pam and family,
Deb

Valerie,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I'll never forget the great times we all had at your parents home. Your father obviously did an awful lot of wonderful things for a lot of people.
Love,
