Helene H. Bowers

PLYMPTON Helene H. (Krulewicz) Bowers, of Plympton, and former long time resident of Marshfield, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the age of 87. Loving mother of Richard Bowers and his wife Donna of Plympton, Barbara (Bowers) Moore and husband Robert of LasVegas, NV. Dear grandmother of Marisa Bowers of LosAngeles, CA. Sister of Chester Krolewicz of Marshfield. Helene was born in Cambridge, MA to Sigmound and Mary Krulewicz. She graduated from Vesper George School of Art in l943 and worked as a commercial artist for Macys in New York. Helene married James Bowers (deceased) in l949. They lived in Boston and Detroit before settling in Marshfield in l96l. She was very active in the community with various organizations, The Newcomers Club, North River Arts Society, Plymouth Bay Girl Scouts and a monthly bridge club. Helene and her husband were also lifetime members of the Marshfield Yacht Club.
