to Dr. Bracketts family
I would like to thank you for having the ice cream party for his patients. They have expressed how much they appreciated the opportunity to meet his family and tell you how much they loved Dr. Brackett. I also would like you to know how much I enjoyed working for Dr. Brackett for the past 11 years. I never felt like I was just an employee, Dr. Brackett always made me feel like part of his family. I hope his family finds comfort in the fact that his kindness has touched so many lives. On behalf of his staff, both past and present he will be greatly missed.

I would like to thank everyone that wrote here for the wonderful heartfelt words about my brother Ronny. Ronny loved being a dentist. He especially loved being a dentist in the town of Weymouth. We told him over the years to come to California and work to be close to several family members. But the East Coast is where he wanted to be and I doubt that he could ever love another baseball team as much as the Red Sox. Ronny loved his work, his children and his grandchildren. His legacy includes these 2 children (with his first wife Sandy) who are now honest, hardworking, upstanding adults and are now raising children of their own. Ronny was very proud of his children..as he should have been. Anyone that knows Larry and Ginny know they are the best! His 6 grandchildren are well on their way to the same destination. Great little kids...coming from good parents...coming from a good Dad! So my brother Ronny will live on in them.. and one day there may be another Dr. Brackett or Dr. Marggraf helping patients in Weymouth just as their Grandfather did and as his Grandfather did. Ronny would enjoy that very much. Thank you all again.

To Anna+family:I heard just yesterday of Dr.Brackett's sudden passing + I'm completely shocked+ saddened by this.Over the last 30+ years I would always look forword to reminiscing With Dr."Ron"re sports, politics +the "old days"in Weymouth. In fact at my last visit(yesterday),he promised to bring a photo of the champion Jr. Legion baseball team he was a part of in 1960.Needless to say he had never mentioned a word to me of his impressive achievements in WEY.H.S. Athletics(Starter in football+ baseball)I found out about his H.S."Glory Days" from a mutual friend which led to the promise of a photo.Humble+ understated,DR."Ron" seldom spoke of himself, instead focusing brief free moments on his many patients, most of whom, like me, thought of him as family + a friend. So Dr."Ron"(Ronald L.Brackett,D.M.D.),a sad goodbye to the world's greatest dentist but more importantly a great guy + good friend. And finally to Anna ,my thoughts + prayers go with You during this most difficult time, but take heart in knowing,Dr.Ron will be sorely missed by all the lives he touched. As a patient since 1975, Dr. Brackett was the only dentist I have ever seen. I was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of his passing, and my heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family. He was always more than a dentist to me, I think I was the only kid I knew who actually looked forward to going to the dentist. I am so glad you held the reception at Papa Razzi to give us a chance to remember him one more time.
I had hoped my son would be able to start another generation of Romeo patients, but it was not to be. I am very glad Dr. Brackett had a chance to meet Nicholas. I will miss him terribly and remember him always.

To the extended family of Dr. Brackett,
Like so many I became a patient in 1976 when I lived in Weymouth & even when I moved to the west coast briefly I would make an appointment when I returned for a visit. And when I returned to the area permanently, I knew that Dr. Brackett was the best & most competent dentist I had ever been with.
I am shocked and saddened by his passing and hope that you find some comfort in knowing that we all fell he was such a special & caring man. He will be greatly missed.

To the Brackett Family
Roger and I are deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Ron's death. I had Dr Phillip Brackett as a child. When I married and had children we began with Ron .. way back at the Weymouth office. I am unable to express my deep affection for him except to say that I feel like I have lost a member of my own family. I will miss him. I can only imagine how terribly sad you must feel at this time to lose such a special soul as was Ron. My deepest sympathy goes out to you all. I hope you can have some comfort in remembering the wonderful, kind, caring man he was.

To all the family of Dr.Brackett, My sincere sympathy. Ron was my dentist for 35 years and a friend for just as long. Our favorite thing was to critique the local restaurants we had each been to since the last visit. I always trusted his opinion that the food was good and cheap! I will miss him dearly but will remember him fondly each time I look into the mirror and smile - He was the best!

I remember Ron Brackett very well from the time I moved
to Weymouth until I left in 1991. He was a wonderful man
and a wonderful doctor to my family. I can remember having
many a discussion with him on military events, educational
situations, and town problems. Leaving Weymouth when I
did, left a real fiendship behind. It seems now that I miss
him again.....

I just received the letter from Nicholas Sowles and had no idea that Dr. Brackett was even sick. At my last visit, I remember saying to him, "you can never retire, who will take care of all of your work done on my teeth?" Right now I am in shock. My heart goes out to his family and the dedicated staff who worked with him. He will be surely missed.

To the entire Brackett Family:
My wife, Mary, and I were terribly saddened to learn of Ron's passing. As a dental school classmate, I fully understood Ron's passion for dentistry. As a friend, I, also, understood his passion for history, the Red Sox and ice cream. Some of my fondest memories were going to Sox games and the Marathon finish with Ron on Patriot's Day. Ron was one of a kind and he will be sorely missed.

Dear Members of Ron's Family,
I am very sorry to hear of Ron's passing. Many members of his class of '59 at Weymouth High School were looking forward to seeing him at our 50th reunion gathering this coming September. My brothers, Dave and Ron, and myself remember Ron as a great friend who was always kind and cheerful. He was a great classmate and a great contributor to many. I hope that memories of shared joys bring you comfort as you grieve losing Ron.
