I miss you, I miss you singing to me in the back hall, when we so happy and carefree.
I pray you are happy carefree and feel as beautiful as your soul is. ❤

Clairsie;

I had a dream the other night and you had your arms around me. I think it was because you know I needed someone's arms around me who really cared about me. You had a bright pink sweatshirt on; kinda like the color of the lipstick you always wore. Thank you and I miss you more than you know. see you soon.

love Eileen

After getting off the phone talking about Claire in the mid hours of the night, I lie there in the dark and see memory after memory play out in my head like a great movie. I giggle away trying to stifle my laughter thinking about all of the times I've spent with Claire. I had countless nights trying to fall asleep next to her. We were up all night every night. Every time I thought she was done with the wise cracks something else would pop out of her mouth and we'd be shaking the bed with our laughing all over again. Nobody entertained like Claire. She was nonstop action and fun. I had “abs by Claire” back when I spent all of my days with her. I did not have a muscle in any other part of my body, but my stomach was rock hard from constantly being clenched in laughter.

I'm sure many of us have a song that reminds us of Claire. I know I have hundreds of them. She would make me sing forever telling me that I had to be able to go concert length, and a good entertainer would give the fans at least 2 hours. "Let them hear it in the back row!" she would say sternly. There were never any planned gigs, but we were ready just in case anything ever came up. How many learned their dance moves from Claire? She was so great to watch on the dance floor. Out of all of her boys, jimmy was definitely her best partner on the floor.

I just know everyone we've lost is so thrill to have her back. I think of souls like Mrs. Hardiman, Chris Darcy, my father, Russell, Kev, Eddie, John B, Craig, Sean Sullivan, Mrs. proctor, Neil Cronin, Elisa Sullivan and so many others. They must be so happy. She’s probably putting on a show for them right now.

She loved her sleep and it was beyond annoying to try to roust her. Once she was up and finally out of the house she was the hardest worker. I think about her clients, all of whom she thought of as friends and know how much they will miss her. Many will be surprise to learn that you can get your hair done in a fraction of the time. You won’t have as much fun, but you’ll be grateful to learn you don’t have to take a day off of work for it. Now you can save all of those sick and vacation days for actually sickness and vacations.

I keep imagining so many of our friends and family and how they each would say her name. Mr. Hardiman’s loud whiny CLAIRZEEEEEE when he wanted something, Peggy’s quick and proper Claire, Kathy’s authoritative CLAY YA, Tony’s exasperated Claire, KP’s Claire with a shake of his head, Sully’s giggly Claire, Kev’s low and drawn out Claaairre. Mario managed to put a chuckle in the beginning and the end of his Claire. Then there is my own very patient sounding or stern (depending on the situation) Claire. It is a good thing I am patient and laid back. My god that girl made me wait FOREVER.

I know that most of all she loved being called Auntie Claire best. Those kids lit up her life.

There were many who pronounced it CLEAR as in crystal. Mrs. Hardiman wasn’t a big fan of that. She schooled many on how to properly say the beautiful name Claire.

So many of us feel we had a special bond with Claire. She seemed to make everyone feel like they were special to her. She was so caring and generous. She shared her home and her family with me and I’m so grateful that I still have that. I’m also grateful that I saved EVERYTHING meaningful from life. I have letters of hers to read again and again. I have great pictures and trinkets, but even if I didn’t I still have her in my heart.

I think she gave us so much of herself in her short stay with us that she was trying to give us enough to last us after she was gone. She really was a great one, a favorite of so many everywhere.

I will miss my friend forever, but knowing she is in heaven, I am no longer afraid of dying.

With all of my love and laughs, good night, sweet dreams, I love you Claire,
Michelle (Ravida or Ravidahead as she liked to say) Edgerly

To the Hardiman Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very sad and difficult time.

If you were fortunate enough to have known Claire or even met her once then you know how it would be impossible to forget her. Not only did she always wear a beautiful smile on her face, she was so very kind and sweet to everyone! She was a true friend and always made you feel special. Though I have not seen claire for years, the memory of her beautiful smile and warm personality is inbedded in my heart so clearly as though it was yesterday...That is the effect Claire had on everyone she met. She will be forever in our hearts and I will always cherish my memories of her.

God Bless,

To the entire Hardiman family -

There are no words. There's nothing I could ever say that could make anybody understand the agony, sadness and emptiness that I feel for all of you, myself and everybody on earth that Claire has touched. She was the most special person I've ever known. She was crazy in love with every member of her family and she let the world know it. This world will just never ever be the same without Claire Hardiman in it. How lucky am I to have had Claire in my life? I feel priveledged to have had every last hour that I had laughing and talking with that angel! She was the most loving, generous and selfless person I've ever known. Claire gave all of herself all of the time. I find myself laughing and crying at the same time at every thought of Claire. I pray for you all that your wonderful memories of Claire will bring you peace and comfort in the days to come. I'm so sorry Hardimans! I'm sorry for everybody who loved her - I'm sorry for everybody who ever knew her. This is a great, tragic loss. One that the world won't soon forget.

I wish you all the peace, love and strength that you'll need to get through this.

Love and Friendship,

To the Hardimans,

Words can't describe how sorry I am to hear about Clairesy. I have so many great fun childhood memories with her. I remember when I would stay over your house and we would be out late we would sneek up the back stairs and Mr Hardiman always knew when the hullagans were up to no good. Your family was like my family. Thank you for that. Kathy and Clairesy were great friends. I have been thinking about the dish I used to love to eat when Mrs Hardiman was home. Marcaroni and tomato juice I can't wait to have it for lunch.

I am so very sorry to learn of Claire's passing. What an absolute doll was She!!! I Knew Claire growing up in Dorchester and as an adult she was my hairdresser in Quincy. She was my favorite stylist. I knew I was in for a fun-filled afternoon the moment I sat in her chair. You must know that whenever I was around her she spoke of her family very lovingly. I believe She is with her Mom - her absolute best friend at this moment. You're in my prayers and God Bless you all.N

Dear Hardiman Clan,

I have been trying to first call, then write and most days now can't even speak. How I wish I could give you all a big hug from Claire to You all. She loved, loved, loved her family. I wanted to write of the love I had for my honey, sweetie Claire. She was just so frigging pissa!! No one could make you feel at home with letting out too much inappropriate personal information like Clairezee. She is in all my favorite memories, ALL. My belly will never hurt from laughter like the laughs we had together - we were such idiots, but she made you have fun at nothing. She told everyone the story of my husband and I and our boys, I would come back and see her first stop and who ever and where ever she was the person in the chair knew about us. Afterall, she could talk. My heart is broke, I scream no over and over. She was cheated out of her story and so were all the people that counted on her always being there to make us happy. I know that is exactly what she would want for all who she loved is just to be happy. I love you Claire and I always will. Bill sends his love and deepest sympathy from My Mother and family who knew her as a big part of my life - to all the Hardiman family.

Claire's light shined bright and touched all those who were in her presence.

She played music to make you dance.
She told stories to make you laugh.
She fixed your hair to lift your spirits.
She raised a glass to make you smile.
She gave you her time to make you feel loved.

Claire was unique and gifted in her ability to make you feel uplifted after having been in her presence.

Our world is a lesser place without her in it. We have lost a special friend. We have lost a special gift.

To Maureen, John and all of the Hardiman Family,

I just learned of Claire's passing and wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to your family. I met Claire years ago when I was told that 'she' was the woman to do an updo and whoever sent me there was right. Years later, seeing her over at the Marr Club with Maureen to pick up Jaden or at the Harp for a beer, Claire really was always the happy girl - always with a smile on her face. Several years ago, my daughter was the flower girl in my brother's wedding and I brought her to Claire to have her hair put up - she was a princess and 7 years later that picture of her with her beautfiful flowing curls still remains one of my favorites. Someone just commented on it the other day and I told them that if they ever needed to have their hair done, she was the best. Hopefully your memories of her will help you through the next days, weeks and years.

I'm so shocked and heart-broken to hear the sad news about Claire. She was the most cheerful little girl in the world and she grew up to be such a happy and friendly person. I can't picture her without that big smile across her face. I'm sure she had that big smile when she was reunited in Heaven with her mother.

My thoughts are with all the family during this very sad and difficult time. With Love and All Best Wishes.

To the Hardiman Family;

As you know, Claire loved you more than words can say. From growing up together on Sagamore St. to her becoming a successful hairdresser; she was always first and foremost, a great daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Her beautiful smile framed by perfect pink lipstick will always be etched in my brain. She had a gift for making anyone she worked on feel more beautiful when they left her than they did before! God bless her and know that she is happy now with her mom and friends who have gone before her. Her passing has left a void that cannot be filled.

Mr. Hardiman, John, Peggy, Kathy, Maureen, Kaleigh and Jaden,
I am deeply saddened by the news of Claire's passing. Over the past several years, Claire has made me smile and laugh out loud on many occassions. I can't remember ever seeing her without a smile and a cheery "Hi Dani!" to greet me.
I will remember her best through stories told by Maureen of the two of them dancing and singing together in the house and in the car or Jaden remembering Claire running beside the car next to his window every morning. I am so thankful that I got to know Claire and experienced the same happiness that others have expressed. She truly was one of a kind.

I can’t remember when or how we first met
But the times we shared I won’t ever forget
It was probably at Bulldogs or some such place
With that beautiful infectious smile upon your face

You turned me from brunette to blonde
And on many occasion from sad to happy
We formed a strong loving bond
And at times it was terribly sappy

I remember you gave me a great perm one time
And we toasted to the curls way past nine
We laughed and sang, and danced many nights
And on our trips saw lots of pretty sights

We cruised with the girls across the high seas
And had wonderful fun and were filled with glee
We gambled in Vegas under the sun
We made chip skyscrapers, and had so much fun

You were a beautiful friend, one hard to find
And you will be missed by all but kept in the mind
The memories you gave to each one and all
Will always be there with total recall

To a friend who will never be forgotten, I give one final toast
You, little Clairesy, I’ll remember the most

We have all the time in this world to tell each person how we feel
But time ticks on by, we get too busy and is life is a steal
So take the time now to say it often and say it loud
What’s in your heart, don’t be too proud

Mr Hardiman and family and Paul, our sincerest sympathies at the loss of Claire. My fondest memories are of the golden haired sweetie with the huge eyes that I used to teach flute to years ago. The flute was bigger than her! I hope your comfort is that her music is shared with her mom in a happier place. You are in our prayers. Sincerely, Mary Moran & Michael Joyce Wilmington, Ma.

Dear Mr. Hardiman, Johnnie, Peggy, Maureen and Kathy...I am truly at a loss of words. Little Claire Hardiman (as i will always remember her) was one in a million. Her laugh and smile will never be forgotten. Savin Hill lost some sunlight this weekend. Mr. Hardiman, I don't know that any words will help at this time, but I truly believe she is with her mother now. I have you all in my thoughts and prayers.
