Leslie G. Watkins WEYMOUTH Leslie G. Watkins passed away at South Shore Hospital Aug. 2009. He was 88 years old. Born in Merrimack, NH, he was the last of 8 siblings. He was raised in Southern, NH & moved to Wollaston in the late 1940s before settling in Weymouth in 1950. U.S. Army Vet. W.W.II. He was a retired sheet metal worker with Local #17. Previously employed by Quincy Shipyard & Cox Engineering in Cambridge. Beloved husband of 65 years of Rita M. (St. Pierre) Watkins. Father of Alfred J. married to Maureen Watkins of S. Weymouth, Kenneth W. married to Michelle Watkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico, William J. married to Marianne Watkins of Hull, Janet M. married to Jay Yanovich of Gulf Breeze, Fl., Sandra A. married to Kenneth Hogan of Braintree, Linda M. married to Thomas Welch of N.Weymouth, James P. Watkins of Weymouth, Susan M. married to Thomas Pendleton of Rockland & the late Les Watkins. Also survived by 17 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. Funeral from the North Weymouth McDonald Funeral Home, 40 Sea St. (off Rt.3A-Bicknell Sq.) Monday at 9:30 a.m, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Jeromes Church at 11 o'clock.
