Sally O'Brien Obituary

O BRIENâ€" Sally A. (Drinkwater), of Holbrook, formerly of Randolph, beloved wife of Thomas J. O'Brien. Mother of James Merrikin of E. Bridgewater, Mary Anne Goodine of Randolph, Marlene Novak of Taunton and 6 stepchildren. Also survived by 13 grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Mary's Church, Randolph, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment private. A gathering will be held immediately following the Mass at the family home in Randolph. Donations in Sally's memory may be made to Caritas Good Samaritan Hospice, 3 Edgewater Dr., Norwood, MA 02062. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St., Randolph.

I hope you will take time in the next few weeks to remember the joy that Sally brought to each of us. She made our lives richer and full of joy because she was who she was. We will always remember her wonderful laugh, her giving spirit and her robust zest for life. And, who didn't love her honesty? Sally always told you exactly how it was; like it or not!

We feel so blessed to have had her in our lives and to call her "friend."

To Sally's family. Sorry she did not make it. I thought of her from time to time after I heard of her illness. I remember the few times our paths crossed after graduation from RHS in 1955.
