John Allan Obituary

John D Allan Weymouth â€" John D. Allan, died Saturday September 29, 2007 at South Shore Hospital after a brief illness, he was 75 years old. He was reared in Quincy and has lived in Weymouth for over 50 years. Mr. Allan was a detective sergeant with the Weymouth Police Dept. He retired in 1984. After retirement he became an investigator for the State of Florida for 10 years before returning to Weymouth. He served with the US Air Force in the Seoul Korea during the Korean War. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Patricia E. (Ward). Devoted Father of Bonnie Ripaldi of Braintree, Pamala Fucile of Weymouth, Laura King of Weymouth, Trish Beaudoin of Braintree, Cheryl Mains of West Virginia, and John Scott Allan of Nashua N.H. Beloved brother of Lois Glines of Venice FL., the late Robert Allan, Jean Blackburn, and Francis Allan. Loving Grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services with military honors and Rev. Terry Martinson officiating will be private. Visiting hours at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home 100 Washington St. Weymouth, MA on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6 until 9pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

Mr. Allan,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USAF during the Korean War. And to your family loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
