Uncle Mikey:

I could do nothing but stare vacantly at you Tuesday and Wednesday. That wasn't my silver fox uncle with the twinkle in his eye. And it is sad to say the last time I saw you was at your niece, my cousin Ariane's wedding. And I remember us laughing and laughing about the old times. And you telling me how good it was to see your family. And we danced, and laughed, and it brought me back to me calling your stomach a pillow when I was very little, cuz you weighed a little more then and I'd climb all over your lap and play with your white hair....and cans of Dinty Moore... And our trips to New Jersey to visit your Mom/my grandmother. And how often you were at our house in Weymouth. And going to the beach with my Mom on your days off. And how we laughed and how you always showed me unconditional love no matter how many years went by. I always loved my Uncle Mikey and I always will. I am so sorry years put distance between family and roads go different ways. If I had to do it over again, I would have seen you more than once a year or bumped into you at the Hanover Mall. And though I may not have been in touch as much as I should, again I always loved you and always will.

Love,

Kimmy
