Jesse Rose Obituary

Jesse G Rose Quincy â€" Rose, Jesse G., died at the Quincy Nursing & Rehab Center on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at age 75. Born in Cohasset, he was raised and educated in Boston and lived in Quincy for 38 years. A Navy veteran who fought in the Korean War, he was the owner and operator of the A1 Taxi Service in Boston which serviced Logan Airport for 25 years. Jesse is survived by his loving wife Marie A. (Shinn) Rose of Quincy and his sons David Rose of North Quincy and James Rose and his wife June of Braintree and his daughter Darlene Kerr of Goshen, NY, as well as his grandsons Jeffrey Rose, Raymond Rose and Kevin Rose. Predeceased by his daughter Sheila Rose and his brother John G. Rose, he also leaves his mother Eleanor (Matthews) Barbour of Malden, his sister Beverly Binder and her husband Richard of Racine, WI and his brother Robert Rose, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A visiting hour will be held on Tuesday, October 16 from 9:00 to 10:30AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30AM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. (off Hancock St.) Quincy Center. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial with military honors will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. Mr. Rose,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
