James Esdale Obituary

James J. Esdale Pembroke Esdale, James J., 84, of Pembroke, died Thursday, October 18 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. The son of the late Daniel and Mary (Crowley) Esdale, he was born in Boston on February 2, 1923. He was raised and educated in Boston and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. Mr. Esdale served in the Navy during WW II and Korea and later was employed as a Management Analyst for the Defense Dept. He was a member of the VFW in Hanover and the American Legion in Duxbury. He was the husband of the late Helen (Bissonette) Esdale who predeceased him this last August. He is survived by 2 sons, Paul J. Esdale and his wife Julie, Robert Esdale and his wife Jeanne, 1 daughter Patricia Bezanson and her husband Howard, 6 grandchildren, Richard Bezanson, Sarah Rizzitano, Dillon Esdale, Ross Esdale, Daniel Esdale and Kristin Esdale, 3 great-grandchildren, Samantha Bezanson, Zachary Bezanson and Anthony Rizzitano and 1 sister Dorothy Lanham. He was the brother of the late John, Robert and Harold Esdale. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., (Rte. 53) in HANOVER on Monday from 1-3, followed by a service at 3 p.m. Interment to follow in Pembroke Center Cemetery. Mr. Esdale,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and the Korean War and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
