Adele Wilson Obituary

Adele Owen Wilson WEYMOUTH Adele Owen Wilson, 84, of Weymouth where she had resided for many years, died on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the Pope Nursing Home in Weymouth. She Was born at Bay Shore Long Island, New York. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Gladys (Gogarn) Wilson. She graduated from North Yarmouth Academy at Yarmouth, Maine, and subsequently from Burdett College in Boston and took graduate courses at the University of Miami at Coral Gables, Florida. She had been an Assistant Manger at many resort hotels in Florida and New England. Locally she had been employed at the Milton Academy, the Trailside Museum in Milton and at Quincy Junior College Bookstore. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Braintree and the Fortnighters of the Church. She provided articles for the Candlestick Newsletter at the Church concentrating on biographies, humor and poetry. She also wrote for the "Braintree Forum" newspaper. A Memorial Service will be held at The First Baptist Church of Braintree, 594 Washington Street, Braintree, on Tuesday, October 30th at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Blue Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Peck Funeral Homes of Weymouth and Braintree.

My family and I met Adele at Pope Nursing Home where my mother is also a resident. She befriended my mother right away and I always looked forward to seeing Adele during my visits there. She was lots of fun and I will miss her.
