Charles Casey Obituary

Charles B. Casey of Newton Highlands Casey, Charles B., a retired Weymouth Firefighter, died Sat Oct 20, 2007 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton. He was 61. A lifelong Newton resident, he graduated from Newton South High school and served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. He had served on the Weymouth Fire Dept. for 28 years before his retirement. He was the former union treasurer for Weymouth Firefighters Local #1616. He was also an avid hockey player and golfer. Son of the late Charlie and May Casey, he is survived by his sisters Judith Jackson of Raynham and Barbara Toomey of Pinehurst NC. He was uncle to Kevin Jackson, Kelli Holmes, Brian, Daniel and David Toomey and the late James Jackson. His funeral will be from the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER on Wed. Oct 24 at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Tues 4-8 PM. Mr. Casey,
Sir, I didn't know you but as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the USMCR and secondly for the citizens of Weymouth when you served with the WFD. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
