Jean Sproule Obituary

Jean M. Sproule Belmont, NH Jean M. (Gordon) Sproule, 81, formerly of Harwich and Quincy, died suddenly, October 23, 2007 at the Concord Hospital in Concord, NH. She was born in Boston, raised and educated in Quincy schools and was a graduate of Quincy High School. She has lived in Belmont, NH for the past several years, twenty years in Harwich and previously in Quincy. Mrs. Sproule had worked several years in the Quincy area as an LPN doing private duty healthcare. Previously she had worked as a secretary for fifteen years for the Bethlehem Steel Company at the former Fore River Shipyard in Quincy. She has been retired twenty years. Mrs. Sproule was a Past Chief Daughter of the Daughters of Scotia, Lady Walter Scott Lodge in Quincy. Beloved wife of Claude F. Sproule, they celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on October 17th. Devoted mother of Jean E. Bergeron and her husband Richard of Belmont, NH. Loving grandmother of Meredith J. Bergeron. Sister of Margaret Cavanaugh of Weymouth. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., Quincy on Friday, October 26th at 1 p.m. Rev. James L. Kimmell, Pastor of the Faith Lutheran Church in Quincy will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m. Interment Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. For those who wish, donations in Mrs. Sproule's memory may be made to the St. Francis Healthcare, Resident Patio Fund, 406 Court Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
