Katherine Holmstrom Obituary

Katherine Holmstrom MANCHESTER, CT Katherine (Campbell) Holmstrom, 96, beloved wife of the late Charles L. Holmstrom, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at an area convalescent home. She was born February 28, 1911 in Quincy, MA. Daughter of the late John A. and Mariah (Patterson) Campbell. She was raised in Prince Edward Island by her grandparents Neil and Mary Campbell and her uncle Beecher Campbell and had been a resident of Manchester since 1947. Katherine was a member of Center Congregational Church in Manchester for over 50 years and had been active in many capacities. She retired as an L.P.N. after more than 30 years of nursing at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Holmstrom is survived by seven cousins, Muriel MacPhee, Wilfred Campbell and Ethel Drake, all of Prince Edward Island, Jean Beer and her husband Fred of Scottsdale, AZ, Loretta McCloud of Phoenix, AZ, Bonnie Seely and Blair Seely, both of Quincy, MA, a cousin-in-law Roger Wallin of North Weymouth, MA, her special friends, Carol Roups and her husband Vincent of Tolland and James Kidd of Manchester. Katherine was predeceased by a cousin Mary Wallin. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be Wednesday, October 31st at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy, MA. Visitation is Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the Service at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
