Joan Marotta Obituary

Joan M. Marotta Weymouth Joan M. (McGillvray) Marotta, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy died on Thursday at the South Shore Hospital. Joan was 53 years of age and was raised and educated in Quincy. She lived in Weymouth for 27 years. She was a sales clerk for the Curtain Factory Outlet in Weymouth for several years. She was previously employed by the MBTA Employee Credit Union where she worked for 13 years until 1983. Among her interests, she enjoyed traveling. Beloved wife of Philip W. Marotta. Devoted mother of Brian Marotta, Ashley Marotta and Marilee Hearon all of Weymouth and Diane Marotta of Quincy. Daughter of Eileen (Coughlin) McGillvray of Weymouth and the late Robert L. McGillvray. Sister of Robert McGillvray of Seattle, WA., Ronald McGillvray of Easton, Richard McGillvray of East Bridgewater and Eileen May of Lake Placid, FL. Loving grandmother of Alivia Hearon. Funeral from the SOUTH WEYMOUTH McDonald Funeral Home at 809 Main St. (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, South Weymouth at 9:00 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4:00 8:00 P.M. Interment, Lakeview Cemetery, South Weymouth.
