Linda Rollins Obituary

Linda E. Rollins Bridgewater Linda E. (Carpenter) Rollins Gig, 60, a lifetime resident of East Bridgewater, died Friday at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Clayton Rollins, Jr. of East Bridgewater. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. and Bernice (Thrasher) Carpenter. Gig was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School. She was a secretary for C.A. Rollins, Inc & Rollins Landscape Contractors in East Bridgewater, also a longtime sales associate for Chadwicks Outlet in Brockton. She especially enjoyed spending time and spoiling her grandsons. Linda loved the beach and was a longtime summer resident of Saquish in Plymouth. She also enjoyed shopping and flowers. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Joseph Rollins and his wife Doreen, Bubba Rollins and Tara, Maryellen Rollins and Todd; her cherished and beloved grandsons, Nate Rollins and Jake Rollins, all of East Bridgewater. She is also survived by her sisters, Mildred Merolli of Raynham, Barbara Sinclair of Tennessee, her brother, Richard Carpenter of East Bridgewater; several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Charles, Butch, Hoppy and Joe Pete Carpenter. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday November 7th at 10:00 a.m. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Inc, Plymouth Street (Rt 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman, MA. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater, MA. Visiting hours are Tuesday November 6th 5-8 p.m. For online condolences and directions go to www.blanchardfc.com.
