James Jim Shields, Jr. Beloved mother of Jim Shields of Marshfield, Mary Shields of Plymouth, Michael Shields of Ft. Myers, FL., Jean Milch of Marshfield and Susan Darian of Marshfield. Daughter of the late Frank and Mary Gallagher. Sister of the late Mary Lou Gallagher, of Watertown. Jean attended Regis college and moved to Marshfield in 1955. The consummate teacher, she was the co-founder of Stepping Stones School, and taught at both Eames Way School and Gov. Winslow School of Marshfield. Mother-in-law of Jim McKinnell, James Milch and Dwight Darian. Jean leaves behind 12 grandchildren Ryan, Conor, Tyler, Hunter, Emmi and Calleigh Shields; Jamie and Micaela Shields, Jessi and Tim Milch, and Max and Noelle Darian. Cousin of Joan Sliney of NH. Very best best friends of Dr. Tony and Mrs. Janet Ionta. Visiting hours at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (rte 139) Marshfield, on Thursday, November 8, from 4-8pm.
