David Day Obituary

David R. Day Quincy David R. Day, November 7, 2007. at the age of 60 years. A life long resident of Quincy. David was a graduate of North Quincy High School Class of 1964, Eastern Nazarene College Class of 1969 and the Suffolk Law School Class of 1973. David worked for the North Atlantic Region National Park Service as a Human Resource Specialist until his retirement in March of 2007. He began his career with the National Park Service in 1969, giving tours at the Adams Mansion. David was the Past President of the Quincy Historical Society, Past Chairman of the Quincy Historic District Commission, Member of the Covenant Congregational Church where he served on various committees including being Chairperson and Treasurer of the Church. He also served on various East Coast Conference Boards of the Evangelical Covenant Church. David is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years Linda (Schmidt) Day. His loving mother Anna (Anderson) Day of Quincy. He was pre-deceased by his late father Robert E. Day. David is also survived by his devoted brothers Peter Day and his wife Susan of FL and Rev. Dr. Paul Day and his wife Diana of ME. His dear mother-in-law Louise Schmidt of CA. Sister and brother-in-law Karen and Douglas Huemme of CA, and by many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held in the Covenant Congregational Church, 315 Whitwell Street, QUINCY on Sunday, November 11th at 3:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in David's memory to the Memorial Fund of Covenant Congregational Church, 325 Whitwell St., Quincy, MA 02169. Arrangements by the Deware Funeral Home.
