Mr. Stuart,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Navy during WW II aboard the LST-862 which saw action at Okinawa in the Pacifice and and in North China after the War was over. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. The sailors who manned the LSTs during WW II were some of the unsung heroes of the War. LSTs participated in every major amphibious operation in Europe and the Pacific from 1943 to the end of War being able to deliver heavy equipment, vehicles, and tanks right up to the beach. I'm sorry for going on and on but when I read about what our men went through during WW II, I am always in awe.
