Leona Currie Obituary

Leona B. Bosader Currie Maine Leona B. Bonnie (Small) Bosader Currie, of North Anson, Maine, formerly of Quincy, a homemaker, died at the New England Medical Center in Boston on November 13, 2007. She was 86. Bonnie was born and raised in Hingham where she attended Hingham High School. For many years, she lived in the Quincy Point section of Quincy where she was an active member of St. Joseph Parish. She had many interests and activities. Even as recently as last week, she had crocheted three dolls and an afghan to give to her family. She also enjoyed racing and would often visit Raynham Park and attend fairs that hosted racing events. Bonnie was a huge Red Sox fan who was thrilled to have seen her team win two World Series titles. She wore team jewelry and would don a pink Red Sox rally cap whenever the team needed some support. The loving wife of 49 years to the late Peter T. Bosader and the wife of the late John Currie, Bonnie was also the loving devoted and cherished mother of Catherine Norton and her husband William of ME, Maroon Bosader and his wife Kathryn of Weymouth, Leona Norton and her husband Bruce of ME and the late Peter Butch Bosader, Robert Bosader and Little Leona Bosader; the beloved mother-in-law of Carol Bosader of Easton and Cheryl and Thomas Elliott of Bridgewater, the loving Gram to eighteen grandchildren and the loving Sittoo to ten great-grandchildren. Bonnies funeral will be held from the Hamel, Wickens and Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St. Quincy Center, on Saturday morning at 7:45 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Randolph at 9:00. I remember Bonnie very well, she was an avid bingo player when she lived here in Quincy, we were sad when she moved to Maine. My condolences to her family.
