Christopher Styles Obituary

Christopher Styles WEYMOUTH Christopher Styles, age 59, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2007 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, after a long illness. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt, lived in Greece and at the age of four moved to the United States. He was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain and Quincy schools. Mr. Styles has lived in Weymouth since 1986, previously living in Quincy. Mr. Styles worked in the hospitality industry for forty years. He was a bartender and manager at various Boston hotels. He finished his career at the former Dee Dee s Lounge in Wollaston where he worked for over twenty-five years. He has been retired several years. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed sports, especially football, fishing, boating and antique automobiles. He also enjoyed fitness and working out. Mr. Styles lived his life to the fullest. He was devoted to his family and friends, most importantly his children, grandchildren and caring for his mother. He was loved by everyone who knew him. Beloved husband of the late Rita A. (Rhilinger) Styles. Devoted father of Maria A. Cochrane and her late husband James M. Cochrane, Q.P.D. of Quincy, Evan C. Styles and his wife Stacy of Stoneham, Eric M. Styles and his wife Elizabeth of Weymouth. Loving grandfather of Samantha J. Toomey Styles, Matthew E. Styles, Eva Maria Styles, the late Caroline S. Cochrane and the late Mia S. Cochrane. Caring son of Mary E. (Karydis) Styles of Hingham and the late Evans C. Styles. Brother of Al Styles and his wife Tracy of Hingham and Sophia Bellas of Weymouth. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 817 Jerusalem Road, Cohasset, Tuesday, Dec. 4 th at 11AM. Rev. Father John Maheras will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., Quincy on Monday 4 8 PM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr., Styles memory may be made to the American Heart Assn., 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688.

Dear Sophia and extended family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Chris for many years, and he was always a great person to talk too. Chris had class and strength, as does the whole Styles family. Our hearts and prayers go out to you all at your time of loss. Chris will be very missed for a long time, by all of the people his life touched. God Bless all of you!
