Edward Donovan Obituary

Edward R. Donovan, Sr. WEST DENNIS Edward R. Donovan, Sr., 78, passed away December 1, 2007. He was the husband of Carol (Acus) Donovan; they were married for 25 years. Born, raised and educated in Boston and a graduate of Bentley College, he was a self-employed C.P.A. Mr. Donovan served his country in the U.S. Army as a Sargeant during the Korean War, receiving the Korean Service Medal, the U.N. Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Besides his wife he is survived by his children Edward, Jr. and his wife Patti of Duxbury, John J. of Boston, Andrew M. of Boston, his daughter Regis M. of Somerville, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Claire Martin of Virginia and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother John J. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6th from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main St., Rte. 28, W. Harwich, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 246 Main St., Rte. 28, W. Harwich, MA at 11:00 a.m. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to M.S.P.C.A., 1577 Falmouth Rd., Centerville, MA 02632 or Alzheimer's Services of Cape Cod & the Islands, 712 Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601.
