Mr. Johnston will be greatly missed by all that knew him, and worked beside him on the 4th floor. He was certainly one of a kind.

To The Johnston Family,
Betty and I were so sorry to hear the news about Dick's passing. He has been our insurance agent and friend for over 30 yrs. We always enjoyed talking to Dick about our insurance needs, because invariably he would ask us about our family and our frequent travels to Europe and most especially Germany. He was a very kind, thoughtful and positive individual and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
So sorry we cannot attend the services, but our thoughts and prayers are directed to the Johnston family during this most difficult time.

I was Dick's Underwriter for 6 years. The first time I went to visit at his office, he gave me a model car that still sits on my bookshelf to this day. The day we both shed a tear after the passing of his dog, I knew that I had met a fellow animal lover and most importantly, a friend for life. . My heart goes out to Dicks family and will miss Dick and his phone calls in German to try and throw me off during the course of the day. Rest in peace my friend.

My sincere condolences to the family. Dick was a larger-than-life figure in my childhood and had a big impression on me. Fascinating, kind and funny. He never booted me out of the house when I lingered from playing with Marcus to scrounge yet another schnitzle. A true family man of a wonderful, generous family. I know he will be truly missed.

To Dick's Family,
As long as I can remember, Dick was mentioned in our house as our insurance agent and a family friend.

When my father called to tell me the news, we immediately shared fond memories about Dick as a person and Dick as a businessman.

I will miss the conversations with him, as there was always a story or advice to be given. I know that our family is very saddened by his death. Wish I could be there to say, "So long and take care."
