Guenter Bartsch Obituary

BARTSCH, Guenter
"Pops," "Opa"
Died Friday morning, July 18, 2008. Guenter was gifted in ways too many to mention, and will always be remembered by all who knew and loved him for his many talents. He began Narde Paving with Don Narde and worked there for many years. He then worked at Schweizer Aircraft Corporation for over 35 years, where he was a highly respected painter and inspector. Guenter was an avid outdoorsman, and shared and instilled his love of hunting and fishing with his sons. Guenter was admired and loved by many, including the afternoon coffee crew at Dunkin' Donuts, and all his Schweizer co-workers. Guenter will be greatly missed by many, but especially by his son, Mark; granddaughter, Amanda ("little one"); daughter-in-law, Lexy; and his lifelong friends, Dorothy and Darrell Tenny, who were more than friends; they were his support and confidants for over 30 years. It was Guenter's wish to that he be afforded a Memorial Service, calling hours, and a Christian burial. It was his desire that his friends and family be given an opportunity to take part in remembering and celebrating his life in this manner. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our authority, those in control of arrangements have decided not to honor his requests, and it is with great sadness that Guenter will not have his final wishes fulfilled. Please remember him in your prayers, and keep him fondly in your memories. As per his request, in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to those who supported him in life: The Kidney Foundation, The American Heart Association and The Diabetes Foundation. For all that he suffered in life, he is now at peace in the hands of the Lord. Of that, he cannot be denied.
