Frank Fundurulic Obituary

FUNDURULIC, Frank J.
Age 86 of Elmira, passed away Friday morning, August 22, 2008 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center with his family by his side. Frank was born March 24, 1922, the son of the late Stephen and Stella Mikolajcak Fundurulic. He served his country with the US Army Air Corp during WWII and retired from Conrail after 35 years of dedicated service. He is predeceased by his brother, Joseph Fundurulic, and step-son, Edward Doane. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Cleone Roof Doane Fundurulic; daughter Vicki (Stephen) Watkins of Horseheads, NY; step-children: Lawrence (Joy) Doane of Elmira, NY, James (Madeleine) Doane of Granville, NY, Gerald Doane of Elmira Heights, NY, Nancy Chapman of Rome, PA and Steve Doane of Providence, RI; grandson, Clifford Hall with his son Matthew of Irving, TX; granddaughter, Amanda (Gippy) Hall and her sons Austyn, Blake, Collin and Anthony all of Elmira Heights, NY; sisters, Theresa Douglass of Elmira, NY, Loretta (Donald) Savey of Elmira, NY; brother: Stephen Fundurulic of Beaver Dams, NY; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends at Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Tuesday August 26, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. Interment will be held at Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, NY at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers those wishing to remember Frank may do so through "Avenue of Flags" c/o Chemung Canal Bank, One Canal Plaza, Elmira, NY 14901 in his memory.
