Gloria Finch Obituary
Age 74, of Knoxville, PA, died on Sunday, August 24, 2008, in The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Gloria was born on September 22, 1933 in Bethlehem, PA, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Anthony) Schleicher. She was married to Robert E. Finch who predeceased her on October 20, 2000. Gloria was formerly employed as an assistant with Northern Tier Veterinary Clinic. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, animals, bingo, cooking, sitting on the front porch and spending time with her family. Gloria is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, William "Bill" and Jeanette Bernstein of Knoxville, PA, Robert "Robbie" Bernstein of Archer, FL; two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and John Wimbrough of Mechanicsburg, PA, Sandy and Joe Minnick of Mechanicsburg, PA; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Joe and Tatiana Finch of Wellsboro, PA; three grandchildren, Derek, Justin and Kendra; one great-grandchild, Daeton Bernstein; several step grandchildren; one brother, William Schleicher of Bath, PA; and one sister, Betty Schweibinz of Allentown, PA. In keeping with Gloria's wishes, there will be no services. The Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. It seems like yesterday, we were at your house, having fun,playing cards,and eating your mom's delicious food,which she loved to cook and bake. Gloria watched us grow up to be adults and our children as well. She was like a second mom to us girls. We will have memories of your mom forever in our hearts and minds. She will be greatly missed.
