Myra West Obituary
Age 91, of Canal Street, Montour Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at the Seneca View Nursing Facility, Montour Falls, NY. Mrs. West was predeceased by her husband, Arthur on January 24, 1995. She is survived by her sons, Norman of Montour Falls, NY, Richard (Shirley) of Interlaken, NY and Kenneth of Montour Falls, NY; daughters, Florence Alexander of Millerton, PA, Thelma (Jack) Kubinski of Elmira, NY and Marcia (Dan) Jenkins of Montour Falls, NY; 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Mrs. West is the last of 12 children born to the late Floyd and Nellie Clark Hunter. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY on Saturday, August 30, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held there following visitation at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. George Norton will officiate. Interment Montour Cemetery, Montour Falls, NY. Those wishing to remember Mrs. West may do so through memorials to the Montour Falls Memorial Library, 406 Main St., Montour Falls, NY 14865 in her memory.

To Myra's Family~
I am so sorry for your loss. My kids will always remember your Mom as Grandma West. She babysat them for several years. She was a good woman and will be missed by many.
Norm~ Please know that I am thinking of you at this time and keeping you and your brothers and sisters in my prayers. I lost my Mom in June, so I know what you are going through. Take care.

To all of the Jenkins,
I am so sorry to hear of grandma's passing but my she rest in peace now with grandpa and yell at him again for making his cigarettes. I still remember the days she baby sat all of us and how much fun it was. May she always ride her 3-wheeled bike down the streets of heaven. My deepest sympathy to all of you.
