Sara Hess Obituary
Age 88, of Pleasant St., Horseheads, passed away Sept. 3, 2008 at the Chemung CO. Nursing Facility. Sara was born April 22, 1920, the daughter of the late August and Laurine Kromer, who with her brothers, Edward and Ernest, predeceased her. She was married to Everett Hess who also passed away in 1975. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Florence Kromer of Minnesota; nephews, Ralph and Bruce Kromer and their families; close friends, Winona Winters and her daughter, Bonnie, Rosie Carmen and many very special friends, Bob and Charlotte West with their families. Sara was retired from Moore Business Forms in Elmira and a longtime resident of the Horsheads area. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads, Today, Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, from 5-7:00 p.m. Her service will follow there at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Finch officiating. Interment beside her late husband in Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira.
