Irene Brague Obituary

BRAGUE, Irene K.
Age 48, of Lake St. Elmira, NY died on Friday September 5, 2008. By Irene's request their will be no calling hours. Funeral and committal services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to Falck Cancer Center Elmira, NY. Irene is survived by her son Brett Brague of Elmira; mother Irene Palmer of Horsheads, NY; Sisters Dorothy (Gilbert) Guisewhite of Elmira; Barbara Hall of Chemung, NY, Debra Harris of Troy, PA.; Diane (Raymond) Wanck of Elmira. Brothers, Robert (Yvonne) Granger of Elmira Heights; David (Rebecca) Brague of FL. She was predeceased by her Father Robert Brague and recently her grandmother Rose Keenen. Irene was a Carpenter with Masco of Sayre, PA. She loved woodworking and camping and fishing at Pine Cradle Lake, in Rome, PA. ARRANGEMENTS BY BAKER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME.

Fred and I are so sorry for your loss. We enjoyed the years that Kathy and Brett were our neighbors at Pine Cradle Lake. She was a good gal and quite the fisherwoman. Fred always called her the "Bassmaster" because she could catch the big bass. We enjoyed watching her and her delight at fishing. She would often be out on her dock at 6:00 in the morning. Those are good memories. She was a friend and we will miss her very much.

I knew Kathy when she was very young in Horseheads. Hanging with Barb, Dotty and Kathy is a great memory for me. We had a lot of fun. I just wanted to send my condolences to Kathy's family. I am so sorry for your loss.

Kathy is my best friend an has been since we were very young, I'm not sure what I will do without her, but I do know that she will always be my best friend and she will always be in my heart. We did so many things together camped, fished, went out an enjoyed ourselves and the memories I have of kathy will always stay close to my heart.I will miss her deeply. I have not seen or spoken with Kathy since high school. But the minute I seen the name I just knew it was her, how sad, she was so young. I remember Kathy from school, she was tough, but had a kind heart. I send my prayers to her family. I hope the memories you have of her will comfort you in the years to come.

Irene(kathy) was like a sister to me, as she did hang around my sister (jan wood) and her son brett hung around mine (brandon). I herd the news & my heart just pounded, I said no way not kathy... I remember kathy,jan,and doty all laughing at the (iron bar saloon) a favorite hang out for all.. kathy was always a loyal friend to all, and a very good mother to brett, she will be missed forever..

I was sorry to hear of kathys passing I worked with her many years ago and hung with her when I worked at the old Iron bar on college ave. we rode to work together and we were late because she liked going to the donut shop for breakfast. I remember her son and her sister doty, my prayers are with her family.
