Lois Hinman Obituary
Age 85, of Potter Brook, PA, formerly of Galeton, PA, died Friday, September 19, 2008. Born September 16, 1923, in Galeton, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Josephine (Matteson) Gordnier. She was a graduate of Galeton High School. She was married to Frank B. Hinman, who survives. Lois was a homemaker and a member of the Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Frank B. Hinman, Potter Brook; two sons, David F. Hinman, Galeton, and Donald F. Hinman, Easton, PA; six granddaughters, Lauren and Lindsey Hinman, Galeton, Jessica (Tom) Hurrle, Coudersport, PA, Gina, Rachel, and Victoria Hinman, Northampton, PA; a great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Hurrle; a sister, Donna Skelly, Bath, NY; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Hinman, Northampton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Lawrence Gordnier. Friends may call on Monday, September 29, 2008 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. at the Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church, Gaines, PA, with a Funeral Service following at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. David K. Shultz will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church, Rt. 6, Gaines, PA 16921. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Collins Chapel, Galeton, PA.
