To the Augustitus family:
I was saddened to learn of Dick's death. You must know that in our world there are quiet heroes...Dick was one of them. It's hard to understand why people are taken from us but I hope you will take comfort in knowing that you were a special part of a well lived life. Dick gave so much to so many and will be missed by those who knew him.
Wishing you and your family strength and peace.

To The Augustitus Family
So sorry to hear about Dick. He was my counselor way back when and he made a big difference in my life. Of course I am sure you don't remember me but I also was your babysitter way back when too. Again I am so sorry to hear that he passed. May the Great Spirit walk with him as he makes his next journey in the hereafter.

I remember Dick with such fond memories. I taught with him at Smith and had much contact with him later. I remember seeing his always smiling face coming to the door of the classroom to pick up one child or another for one reason or another. He truly made a difference in the lives of many many kids.
