Irene Osborne Obituary
Age 87 of Horseheads, NY. She was born August 11, 1921 in Roaring Branch, PA, daughter of the late William and Irene (Littlebridge) Skelly, and passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008, unexpectedly at home. She was predeceased by her husband, Erold "Gene" Osborne in 1977; and is survived by her children, Beverly (Bill Parks) Keyser of Horseheads, William (Elaine) Jenkins of Lehigh Acres, FL, Linda (Frank) Odom of Talbott, TN and Gary (Pat) Osborne of New London, MN; along with 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Osborne was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 38 years. She enjoyed "babysitting" her granddaughter Connie's dog, "Buddy". Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Tuesday, October 7th, from 6 to 8 p.m. Her funeral and committal services will follow at 8 p.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

We are so sorry to hear this awful news of your mom's passing, Bev. I know what you must be going through right now. I feel your pain. We all know she is in a much better place now. Just think she and my momma are meeting again. They will comfort each other now that they are together. I can just hear them talking about us right now. Your mom is such a sweetheart and always has been. God bless you at this time and always.
