LEONARD,
William C., Jr. "Hoss"
Age 63, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on October 6, 2008 at Schuyler Hospital. He was born on December 28, 1944 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late William and Mary Leonard. He is survived by his wife, Carol of 18 years; children, William (Debbie) Leonard of Horseheads, NY, Charles (Mindy) Leonard of Oakdale, CT, Julie (John) Burdick of Maryland, NY, James (Kristin) Leonard of Erin, NY, Richard (Marlena) Scott of Johnstown, NY, and Wendy (Brian) Cozzens of Walnut Grove, Missouri; 16 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and godson, Dakota Landon; brothers and sisters, Grace (Robert) Thomas of Chemung, NY, Robert (Sheila) Leonard of Rochester, NY, Richard (Linda) Leonard of Montour Falls, NY, and Aurora (Chris) Buchanan of Montour Falls, NY; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and very special friend, Charlie Daniels; and other special friends. Hoss was a member of many different organizations and also organized many motorcycle runs for various charities. Hoss was a veteran of the US Navy, and was an avid Tony Stewart fan. He retired from US Salt, Watkins Glen, NY and was a current member of the Watkins Glen Fire Department, and a past member of the Odessa Fire Department and the Montour Falls Fire Department. Friends are invited to call at the Watkins Glen Fire Department, Second Street, Watkins Glen, NY on Friday, October 10, 2008, from 12 noon till 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY with Full Military Honors. The family will provide flowers; those wishing to remember Hoss may do so through memorial contributions to the Falck Cancer Center, 600 Roe Avenue, Elmira, New York 14905.
