DeLecia Greenough Obituary

GREENOUGH, DeLecia Mae
Passed away in Creswell, Oregon, on October 3, 2008 at the age of 86 of age-related causes. She was born July 6, 1922 in Gillette, PA to Lewis and Hazel (Congdon) Dix. She graduated with honors from Troy High School in PA two years early and went on to beauty school to become a beautician. DeLecia married C. Edward Greenough during WWII and were married approximately 15 years. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and senior companion. DeLecia was a prayer warrior, enjoyed going for walks, loved to read, and especially enjoyed her family. She was a member of the Creswell Faith Center, Creswell, OR. Survivors include her sons, Dale "Happy" Greenough and wife, Janet of Creswell, OR, and Steve Greenough and wife, Judy of Colville, WA; her sister, Rosalyn Mark of Atlanta, GA; and brother, Donald Dix of Horseheads, NY. Her brother, LaRue Dix, preceded her in death. Additional survivors are five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A Life Celebration will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2008, at the Creswell Faith Center, and Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove, OR is in charge of arrangements, 866-942-0185. Memorial contributions can be made to the Creswell Faith Center Building Project, 52808 N. Pacific Hwy., Creswell, OR 97426 for Sunday school classrooms.
