Jacqueline Weideman Obituary

WEIDEMAN, Jacqueline
80, of Storrs, CT, wife of the late William Weideman, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at her home. She was born April 25, 1928, the daughter of the late Efisio (Tony) and Rosie (Caporale) Simola. Jacqueline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very active in her church, St. Patrick's Church in New York. She had a special fondness for St. Theresa because of her love of flowers. She was active in the Elmira/Corning Ballet Co. Jacqueline loved to cook and bake for her loved ones. She also enjoyed sewing, and volunteered for various charitable organizations, including the USO. She was loved by all, and is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Baumgartner of Storrs, CT, Cheryl Meir and husband, William of Somers, CT, and Jackie Ann Gunn and husband, Adam of Moyock, NC; two sisters and a brother, Lucille Ritchey of Aurora, CO, Katy Dole of Lonetree, CO, and Ted Simola of Cheyenne, WY; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic, CT, on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Coventry, CT. The burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mansfield Center Cemetery. Please visit www.potterfuneralhome.com for online memorial guestbook.

To All Who Loved My Mom:
I am so greatful for our last visit to Elmira where so many of you joined us to see her and talk to her. We would like to thank you all for your prayers, love, encouraging words, phone calls, flowers and cards... She was loved by so many and she loved all of you. She will live forever in our hearts. Bonnie, Cheryl & Jackie,
I was so sorry that I could not attend the service this Monday. I did go to St. Patrick's and offered my Mass in memory of your beautiful mother. I want to stay in touch so please contact me so that I may have your addresses and I want to send you something in rememberance of Mom.
