WEIDEMAN, Jacqueline
80, of Storrs, CT, wife of the late William Weideman, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at her home. She was born April 25, 1928, the daughter of the late Efisio (Tony) and Rosie (Caporale) Simola. Jacqueline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very active in her church, St. Patrick's Church in New York. She had a special fondness for St. Theresa because of her love of flowers. She was active in the Elmira/Corning Ballet Co. Jacqueline loved to cook and bake for her loved ones. She also enjoyed sewing, and volunteered for various charitable organizations, including the USO. She was loved by all, and is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Baumgartner of Storrs, CT, Cheryl Meir and husband, William of Somers, CT, and Jackie Ann Gunn and husband, Adam of Moyock, NC; two sisters and a brother, Lucille Ritchey of Aurora, CO, Katy Dole of Lonetree, CO, and Ted Simola of Cheyenne, WY; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195), Willimantic, CT, on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Coventry, CT.
