WARNER, Harold Jr.
Beloved husband, father and friend to all
A long time resident of S. Creek Township, PA passed away Monday morning, October 13, 2008 at Arnot-Ogden Medical Center following an illness at the age of 79. Born on July 26, 1929 in Troy, PA, Harold was the son of the late Harold Sr. & Ada McKerrow Warner. A 1947 graduate of Troy High School; he married Erma B. Lathrop on July 6, 1948 in Mansfield and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past summer. Harold was employed by R.K.B. Enterprises in Elmira for over 40 years. His interests included, trains and steam engines and decorating their home at Christmas time. Active in his community, Harold was a charter member of the South Creek Volunteer Fire Department, former Building and Code Enforcement Officer for South Creek Township, a long time member of the Mountain Laurel Camping Club, an advocate and faithful member of the Gillett Senior Citizens Center. Surviving is his loving family, wife and companion, Erma Lathrop Warner, Gillett, PA; their children, Albert E. Warner, Elmira; Donald R. (Waneta) Warner, Bentley Creek, PA; Lynn G. (Karen) Warner, Bentley Creek, PA; and Debbie A. (Don) Lofstrom, Fairport, NY; a sister, Julia Moody, Sylvania, PA; grandchildren, Jason Warner, William Warner, Sara Smith, Matthew Warner, and Calvin Warner; and 8 beloved great grandchildren; a special neighbor and friend, Mary Carr. Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport, NY on Thursday October 16, 2008 between the hours of 4-7 p.m. and again on Friday from 9-10 a.m. Funeral services will follow the Friday visitation at 10 a.m. Private graveside services will take place in Beech Flats Cemetery, Canton, PA. Memorial donations may be directed to Falck Cancer Center, 600 Roe Ave. Elmira, NY 14905 or the Gillett Senior Citizens Center, c/o Phyllis Ames, 33129 Rt. 14 Gillett, PA in his memory.

Ma Barker - I am sure going to miss Farmer Brown.....If it were not for you and Harold I would never have been able to stay in my house for so long....You are really like a second set of parents to me....I will always be here whenever you need me....thank you for all you have done for me and for roger and molly when they were sick....Harold will be really missed and my mom will have to find someone else to give her cookies and cakes to.....

I worked with Harold for 11 years at RKB. He was a wonferful person. It was my first job after returning from Vietnam. He was very helpful and kind to me. I will never forget that.
