I am saddened by the news of Dorothy's passing. I fondly remember her and her wonderful husband Harry.
When they owned the store downtown I was fortunate to handel their account as a marketing rep. form the The Star Gazette. It was and will always be one of the favorite advertising accounts that I ever worked with. I'm sure many remember the old Burt and Harry ads we had in the Sunday papers. It was always fun working with Harry and Dorothy. Their reputation around town was well known by the many loyal and happy customers thay had. I surely miss those days and stores like theirs.
Jeff, this is for you.... when your parents retired and you took over the store you kept much of the old ,which many of us enjoyed but added some new and exciting ideas of your own. Your parents were lucky to have you step in and take over.
My prayers and fond memories go out to your mom, your dad and your family.

To all of Ms. Sigel's family,

We were saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing. Louis had great respect and fondness for his mother and she will no doubt be missed. He also expressed to me his appreciation for those of you who lived close to her and how you made it possible for her to continue to live independently and with dignity. Please know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Dawn MacLearn

To the Sigel family, I have fond memories of Dorothy from my days working for she and Harry at the old Seagull's (1968-69). Dorothy kept Harry in line, for sure...she was a wonderful lady. Both she and you are in my prayers...God Bless.
