FAULISI, Abby Ruth
of Corning
Age 92, passed away peacefully on October 5th 2007 at Corning Hospital. Abby was a lifelong resident of Corning and was the only child of Elma and Leslie Barrett of Corning, New York. In later years she lived with her grandmother, Jennie Dull of Corning. Abby graduated from Corning Free Academy in 1933. She married A. Joe Faulisi on June 3rd, 1935. Mr. Faulisi predeceased her on February 2nd, 1995. Abby was also predeceased by a beloved daughter-in-law, Faith Faulisi, the former Faith King of Corning, New York. She was an employee of Corning Glass Works and also worked at OTB for many years. Abby had been a resident of Founders Pavilion since 2001. She is survived by her four sons, Richard (Helene) Faulisi and Vincent (Suzanne) Faulisi of Corning, New York, Frank (Elizabeth) Faulisi of St. Peters, Missouri, and Ronald (Dee) Faulisi of Melbourne, Florida. In addition to her sons, she is survived by her half sister, Betty Ann Clarkson (Jack) of Meads Creek Road; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Abby was a loving mother to her sons and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Acly-Stover Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. There will be no calling hours. There will be a graveside service at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saturday the 13th at 11:00 a.m. The family will provide flowers for the service.
