Doyle Neal Obituary

NEAL, Doyle Alvin
Age 80, of Rt. 249, Westfield, PA, died October 5, 2007 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. He was the husband of Meta Rice Neal whom he married August 14, 1948. Doyle was born September 20, 1927, the son of the late Clyde and Alora (Ora) Stevens Neal. He was a manager at the Middlebury Milk Plant and owner of Seals Lumber in Wellsboro and Coudersport. Doyle was a member of the Little Marsh United Methodist Church, founding and life member of the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department where he also served as secretary and treasurer, was an avid softball player, enjoyed gardening, and was a member of the Air Force, Army Air Corps. Surviving are his wife, Meta; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and John Zuck, West Milton, OH, Joan and Edward Hopper, McKeesport, PA, and Lisa and Douglas Romaneo, Knoxville, PA; sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Debra Neal, Fuquay Varina, NC and Tadd and Rhonda Neal, Westfield, PA; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Charles, Carroll, Arthur, Howard, and Rodney Neal. Friends and family are invited to Doyle's Life Celebration on Sunday, October 7, 2007, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday, October 8, 2007, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA. Funeral, Monday, October 8, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. with Lay Minister Ellen Bartholomew officiating. Burial in Middlebury Union Cemetery.
