Walter Komer Obituary

KOMER, Walter
Age 85, resident of Caldwell Avenue, Elmira, NY, and most recently Woodbrook, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2007. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, corner of Franklin and Fulton Sts. in Elmira. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Walter may do so by making memorial donations to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 224 Franklin St., Elmira, New York 14904. Those wishing may leave the family a "Candle of Remembrance" in Obituaries at www.olthof.com.

Claudia and family - it's been so many years.... lots of great memories of our time in high school. My condolences to all of you.

Mr. Komer always had time for us neighborhood kids to come and hang out. I remember him out there every year painting the house. Mom used to yell for us, because she couldn't find us, we would come home in paint, because "we were helping Mr. Komer mom". The patients he had for us was incredible.

The Bertelsen family will always have fond memories of Mr. Komer!! We go way back!! I spent allot of time growing up at the Komers' house!!He will be missed by all of us!
