Doris Kreisler Obituary

KREISLER, Doris H.
Formerly of Laurel Street
Was born April 2, 1929 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Harry G. and Bertha C. (Chamberlain) Heller, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4, 2007, at the Chemung County Nursing Facility at the age of 78. Her brother, Raymond Heller, predeceased her. Doris married Wilbur D. "Bill" Kreisler, September 25, 1949 in Elmira at the Southport Presbyterian Church. They have enjoyed 58 wonderful years of life and love together. She is survived by her loving husband, "Bill"; beloved sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Kreisler of Elmira, NY, Edward and Jill Kreisler, also of Elmira, NY, Douglas and Jennifer Kreisler of Jordan, NY; much loved grandchildren, Joseph (Kristeena) Kreisler, Mickey (Pam) Kreisler, Daniel and Craig Kreisler, Eric and MacKenzie Kreisler, Bethanie and Natalie Emerick; adored great-great-grandchildren, Derek and Kayla Kreisler, Madilyn Kreisler; sister-in-law, Betty Heller of Manlius, NY; brother-in-law, Donald (Marian) Kreisler of Bradenton, FL; along with several special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Doris was devoted to her family and home and loved her grandkids dearly. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held there following the visitation (7 p.m.) The Reverend Ross Raymond will officiate. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of her family in the Woodlawn Cemetery Elmira, NY. Memorial donations in Doris's name may be directed to a charity of one's choice. Her family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude for the entire staff at the Chemung County Nursing Facility, especially the 6th floor staff, for the outstanding love and care they gave Doris. A "Candle of Remembrance" may be left for her family in obituaries at www.olthof.com.
