Irene Skolny Obituary

SKOLNY, Irene R.
Age 72, of Williamson Terrace in Bath, NY, died Friday, November 2, 2007, at the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital. She was born September 4, 1935 in Johnson City, NY, the daughter of Theodore and Josephine Surowka Nycz. Irene was a retired Teacher from the Johnson City School District. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Bath. She is survived by her daughter, Genevieve (Roger) Gysel of Canandaigua, NY; two sons, Stanley (Sandra) Skolny of Painted Post, NY, and Raymond Skolny and Katheryn Persijn of Pittsburg, PA; three grandchildren, Joab, Zachary and Kazmier; and her brother, Edward Nycz of Endwell, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Valery "Larry" J. Skolny; and two brothers, Zygmund and Raymond. Family and friends are invited to call Today, November 6th, at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath from 3:00-6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church in Bath on Wednesday, November 7th, at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Peter Anglaaere, presider, assisted by Deacon Ray Defendorf. Burial will be in the Bath National Cemetery.
