Age 87, of Lamoka Lake, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls, NY, after a long illness. There are no prior calling hours. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The family respectfully requests no flowers, but graciously asks those wishing to make memorial contributions to the Tyrone Volunteer Fire Dept., Tyrone, NY 14887. Robert was born September 13, 1920 in Carlisle, PA, the son of the late Raymond and Alma Shearer Kutz Sr. He served in the US Army during World War II and Korea having been stationed in Europe and the Far East. He retired as SFC7 after 23 years in 1963. During his tour in Europe he married the former Irmgard J. Busack on May 5, 1959 in Frankfurt, Germany. They have lived along the shores of his beloved Lamoka Lake since 1981, previously of Elmira Heights. Mr. Kutz was a member of Wayne American Legion Meade-Price Post 1208, and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Irmgard J. "Ann" Kutz at home; a son, Robin (Debra) Kutz, and two granddaughters, Lindsey and Caley Kutz, all of Homer, NY; a son, Robert W. Kutz Jr. of Houston, TX; a stepson, Arno Moennich of Germany; two sisters-in-law, Paula Kutz of Elmira, and Ilona Kattner of Germany. Arrangements by the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee.
