Bert Baker Obituary
Age 77, of 254 Stone Quarry Road, Westfield, PA, passed away surrounded by his family Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at Corning Hospital, Corning, NY. He was born May 27, 1930 in Westfield, PA, the son of Clair and Jessie Knight Baker Sr. He retired after working for 30 years for Dresser Manufacturing, Wellsboro, PA. He attended the Westfield First Baptist Church. Bert was a devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills, New York Yankees, and Penn State University. He was also an avid golfer. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Eloise; daughters, Linda (Gary) Bisel, Westfield, PA, Debra (Tom) Hann, Prattsburgh, NY; son, Brian (Terry) Baker, Westfield, PA; grandchildren, Gary Bisel Jr., Nelson, PA, Cheri (Neal) Potter, Harrison Valley, PA, Jennifer Poust and Brian Majesky, Prattsburgh, NY, Tommy Hann, Roswell, GA, Joseph Baker, Mycock, NC, Brent (Shalene) Baker, Mycock, NC, Houston Baker, Westfield, PA; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Shane Bisel, Nicole and Kristen Potter, Tyler and Cody Poust; brother, Clair (Pearl) Baker Jr., Westfield, PA; brother-in-law, William Van Dusen, Cowanesque, PA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by sisters, Nellie Easton, Jessie Aldrich, Doris McMindes and Mildred Van Dusen; and brother, Harold Baker. Bert requested that there be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Westfield First Baptist Church. Pastors Lewis Young and Ed Collins, Offc. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Austinburg, PA. The family respectfully declines flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Westfield First Baptist Church and the Sabinsville Ambulance Assn. in Bert's memory. Arrangements are in care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc., 222 West Main Street, Westfield, PA.

Brian and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a great guy and I'm sure he's on the first tee watching over your family now. I lost my dad last Thanksgiving so I wish you all well over the holidays.
