Alice Chase Obituary

CHASE, Alice R.
Age 88, of Blossom Lane in the town of Erwin, passed away Tuesday, November 27, at The Absolute of Three Rivers in Gang Mills. Alice was born in Elmira, NY, the daughter of Roswell L. and Frances Rogers Crozier. Alice attended area schools and went on to graduate from the Gregg Business School in Corning. In January of 1942, Alice married her dance partner and love of her life, Robert "Bob" L. Chase, in Corning, NY. Alice was a homemaker that, when she wasn't dancing, cared for her loving family. She and husband, Bob, of 65 years were the Arthur and Catherine Murray of the area that could be found at just about any dance fest. The treat was watching them glide across the floor. Surviving Alice are her husband, Bob; son, David (Barbara) Chase of Elmira Heights; daughter, Carol R. Chase of Painted Post; brother, Roswell L. (Helen) Crozier, Jr. of Painted Post; and sister-in-law, Erika Crozier of Coopers Plains, NY; grandchildren, Robin and Stacey; and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Ashleigh, and Samantha; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; sons, Donald and Norman; and great-granddaughter, Kaela. Calling hours for Alice will be held at Carpenters Funeral Home on Sunday, December 2, from 1-3 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira at the convenience of the family. The family wishes for family and friends to send donations in Alice's name to the Heart Gifts, American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049, or a charity of one's choice.

Alice, Your charm and personality will be missed by all those that knew and loved you. You and Bob touched our hearts when first we met and we always looked forward to seeing you both. A couple that grew younger with each day of life and blessed each other with so much love. We love you both and you will always continue to be in our hearts and prayers.
