Elsie McGrain Obituary
(Lewis)
Age 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at St. Joseph's Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility 5th Floor. Elsie was born on January 31, 1921 in Elmira, daughter of the late Charles and Ida May (McCann) Lewis. She was married to Ralph McGrain who predeceased her in April of 1980. Elsie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, George of Elmira Heights, Arthur (Priscilla) of Millport, Ralph of Elmira and Leon (Wanda) of Horseheads; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to play Euchre and shuffle board. Elsie was a member of the American Legion Aux. Post #154 and a past member of the Elmira Moose Club #517. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, December 7th from 1 to 3 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow there at 3 p.m. with Deacon George Welch officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Schiavone and the staff of the 5th floor Skilled Nursing Unit.

I am sure that I may have been introduced to her some time in my life but was really to young to remember. My heart goes out 2 the entire family,Art,Pracilla,Gail,Judy,Pam,
Sue,Dawny,Eugene,Kylie,Abbey,Nick, and the rest that I can't remember names. You will all be in my thoughts and Prayers in this time of loss. May these HUGS reach you and bring a smile to your faces and warm your hearts. God Bless.
