Town of Southport Resident
Was born February 2, 1928 in Gyore, Hungary, the daughter of the late John and Katharina (Pickelhaupt) Rau, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2007, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center at the age of 79. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY 14904 on Friday, December 7, 2007, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services honoring her life will be held there on Saturday, December 8th at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Jane Winters celebrating Katharine's life. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Henry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the First United Church of Christ Stain Glass Window Fund, 160 Madison Ave., Elmira, NY 14901. Those wishing may leave the family a "Candle of Remembrance" in Obituaries at www.olthof.com.
