Pauline Blackwell Obituary
80, longtime resident of Troy, PA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 11, 2007. She and her husband, the late John D. Blackwell, had 48 years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2007, at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, and again Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Troy, 121 West Main Street, Troy, PA. An Eastern Star service will be held Monday night at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and the memorial service to honor Polly's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church with Rev. Jack Felt officiating. Burial will follow the service in Glenwood Cemetery. Polly's family includes her daughters, Diane (John) Blackwell-Hutsick of Athens, PA, Judy (Merle) Chaapel of Troy, PA, Barbie Blackwell of the Martha Lloyd Community in Troy, PA, Nancy (Denny) Oldroyd of Gillett, PA; her sons, Jim (Karen) Blackwell of Troy, PA, David Blackwell of Troy, PA; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Contributions may be made in Polly's memory to the memorial fund of the First Presbyterian Church of Troy, 121 West Main Street, Troy, PA 16947.
