Nancy Hardenbergh Obituary

Hardenbergh, Nancy Chalmers Age 87, died peacefully at home in Minneapolis, Boxing Day, 2007. She is survived by: her six children and their spouses, Chalmers, Nicky and Garrick, Marylee, Andrew and Anne, Reid, and Jan and Gail; seven grandchildren, Forrester Cole, Sage Cole, Cornelius Hardenbergh, Cadence Hardenbergh, Cyrus Hardenbergh, Chloe Kimball, and Aaron Brink; her sister, Ruth Chalmers; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, architect Collis Morgan Hardenbergh, died in 1978. Twenty years later, she donated the couple's Wayzata homestead for an open space park, and spent her last decade in her skybox apartment overlooking the Stone Arch Bridge. Nancy grew up in Scarsdale and Quogue, New York. She graduated from Parsons School of Design. Memorial service Sunday. Please call family for details. No flowers, please. Contributions may be made to your favorite charity.

My wish for this family is that memories of the vital person I have learned about through Jan will enfold her family and bring joy for the rest of their own time here. I know one thing for sure: she must have been so proud of her grandchildren.
