Dear Wanda and family,

We heard today of Lee's passing. Lee was our friend through the years. A true professional in our business and a valuable mentor during my time at Minntech. We will both miss his friendship, advise and keen sense of humor.

May God keep his soul in the shelter of His loving arms.

We were shocked to hear of Leroy's passing. A good friend of Lee and Wanda's for many years. Aways enjoyed his company at social events. He will be sadly missed.

I can only echo the sentiments expressed by others who knew Lee through his work. His cheerful smile and kind personality will be missed as much as his pursuit of internationally agreed quality standards. Lee's untimely passing is a great loss to the dialysis technology community throughout the world.

Lee was a generous, creative, energetic, and brilliant professional colleague and teacher. Even though he was busy leading international and national standard-setting efforts, he took as much time as was needed to teach and help every individual that he met. His warmth and openness were very engaging qualities that helped us learn and understand. Some of my best memories of Lee are his leading a Chinese delegation from the Ministry of Health around Washington, D.C. during one of the city's worst snow storms; his willingness to stay up late into the night to help us answer questions during training sessions; and his touring us around his beloved Lake Minnetonka. Lee's life and legacy have changed me, and I am grateful to him for that. I feel that his spirit will continue to guide us, and that is a good thing!

What I'm going to miss about Lee are his daily stops by my desk asking, "Anything new"? Usually, there was much more "new" with him, so he'd tell me about his latest travel plans or of the latest industry standard upon which he was working. He was one of the first people to welcome me to Minntech and always seemed to make a point of checking in with me periodically to see how my day or week was progressing. I'll miss him, his light hearted banter, and presence here in the office.

My sincere condolences. I did not know him well, however, the several times I met him at industry events he was clearly a pioneer and always a gentleman.

Wanda and family,

I was shocked to hear of Lee's passing. Just a week or so before we were sharing remembrances of old times and laughs from the days when we worked together at Renal Systems. I will always remember Lee as one of the most giving and helpful people I have ever known. I will cherish our last laughs together and remember you and yours in my prayers.

Lee was a friend to me to whom I could always come for an expert advice. Now, there will be an empty place at many dialysis meetings.

We lived next door to the Fischbacks for many years, and had really great memories with them. Lee was a great role model and we had many fun times with him and his family. Throwing birthday parties for Lisa and Julie is something that we will always remember. Thanks for all of the great memories Lee!

I just received the news of Lee's passing. I am one of Lee's large group of international friends. It has been 5 years since I last saw Lee, but I have many happy memories of his hospitality during visits to Minntech, his warmth and humour when meeting at conferences, his readiness to provide assistance and the benfits of his extensive experience, his professionalism and his ready smile.

I grew up just blocks from the Fischbachs and Mike and I were best of friends in elementary and middle school. I will always remember Lee as an extremely generous and fun loving guy. Some of my fondest memories growing up will be all the North Stars games and boating trips he took me on. Truly a great man, he will be missed.
